DeMacus Cousins is the best center in the NBA right now, but he never leads Sacramento Kings in the NBA Playoffs. Cousins' behavior has always been considered eccentric and unpredictable, which is a big problem for the Kings' front office.
Cousins averaging 29.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, but Sacramento have 12-17 and they can only get 8th seed right now, but Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard are there with 13-18.
Nothing hurts more than losing. But disorganization is no walk in the park, either. The Kings front office just can’t seem to get it right. Whether it’s with the coaches or with the players, there seems to be a never-ending black hole when it comes to the Kings management. The worst part for Cousins is that there’s nothing he can do about it.
His prime years are coming, only to be wasted away by another losing season with Sacramento. For Cousins, it must be really downing to watch his team do nothing each post-season.
DeMarcus Cousins will probably not sign a contract extension next season and Vlade Divac knows that. But, as I said, the biggest problem is his attitude and he has to understand that is not all about him.
According to Japan Times:
I was talking to an NBA general manager earlier this season about DeMarcus Cousins, the best player in the NBA most likely to be traded, or at least so we’ll hear for the next few months. Actually, I had asked the executive who was the most talented player in the NBA. He believed it was DeMarcus Cousins. I asked whom on his team he would trade for Cousins, who is much rumored the last few years to be traded for the constant under-performing of the Sacramento Kings. He said he wouldn’t trade his 15th man for Cousins, that he wouldn’t let him in his locker room, that no one in the NBA today could likely more destroy a team than Cousins. But he said he really loved his talent.
Even Charles Barkley said the same thing:
“I wouldn’t trade for him because you would have to give up a lot to get him,” Barkley said. “And I think it’s too late in his career for him to change and I think he gonna get you fired.”
This is a great situation for the Boston Celtics and they should react as soon as possible. They are the 3rd team in the Eastern Conference right now and they should risk and send a good trade package for DeMarcus Cousins.
The Celtics would have to give up a lot to acquire him with the hope that Boston can change him for the better.
What they can offer?
What they can offer? The Celtics could offer a really great trade package for DeMarcus Cousins.
– 2017 first round draft pick from Brooklyn, 2019 first round draft pick from Memphis, Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder.
That could be a tremendous offer for the center in the NBA because the Kings could have a top draft pick next season and finally start rebuilding the roster after 5 years.
