Report: Cavs Willing To Trade Two Studs For Young Swingman

The Cleveland Cavaliers may be getting things back on track, but it doesn't mean they're completely satisfied with how things are going so far.

According to Chris Mannix, the team is willing to unload two of their own players to acquire a young swingman. The flexible wing player has become one of the most coveted player types in the NBA, and the Cavs would benefit immensely from such an addition.

Unfortunately for Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love, they're the players the Cavaliers could move to make a potential trade work. Even though both have done a lot for the franchise, the team is clearly looking at all it's options right now. It's not yet known, though, what it would take to shake those guys off the Cavs roster, but we can only imagine it would take a significant package.

Mannix writes:

"Trades also need to make sense. Right now there isn’t one out there. What the Cavs need more than anything is a young, springy swingman who can glide between the two and the three and defend both. That player isn’t on the market, unless Kent Bazemore does something for you."

So as much as the Cavs are willing, there just may be nothing out there for them to pursue. There just aren't enough of those players on the market.

After tonights win, the Cavs find themselves two games above .500 and looking to finally bend the corner of an abysmal start. Whether or not they can do that with their current roster remains to be seen, but, either way, it wouldn't be smart to write off the Cavs just yet. If nothing else, they could have another big move right up their sleeve.
