Despite the majority of offseason moves being made during NBA free agency, we're all still waiting on a few deals to be made, such as where Derrick Rose will sign, if Kyrie Irving will be traded, but especially the ongoing saga that is where Carmelo Anthony will inevitably be traded to.
Rumors have been running rampant for over a month now, and there is still no indication on where Anthony could be headed. Or is there?
Burt Steele, a former ESPN insider, and someone who has many connections inside NBA team's front offices, has suggested a Melo deal could be done sooner rather than later.
If you were a bit skeptical on this guy's prediction, you should know that he also indicated Houston would be a huge move 3 days before the Rockets traded for Chris Paul.
If that's not confirmation this guy is legit, I don't know what is.
If Anthony is going to become a Rocket in roughly 28 hours and 45 minutes, it would seem as though a team is willing to take on Ryan Anderson's contract, the Cavs' have pulled out of trade talks after the Kyrie situation, or the Knicks have lowered their asking price for Carmelo dramatically.
Whatever the case, expect a media frenzy tomorrow when Melo packs his bags for Houston, if Burt Steele is anything to go by.
