With Sixers' Nerlens Noel on the trading block, several teams have shown interest to the 22 year talented big man.
After they signed Sergio Rodriguez, Gerald Henderson, Jerryd Bayless and Carl Landry, they will probably have more success than they had in the past four years.
But, they have the one problem and that could be a starting center, because they have three young players and everyone wants to play more than 30 minutes per game.
Joel Embiid is looking very good at the practice, and the Sixers will give him a chance. Jahlil Okafor could play power forward, because he is a very quick and he often uses spin and dribbling against other big men. The problem is Nerlens Noel, and he could start from the bench.
"I've known them [Embiid and Okafor] since 10th grade so we have had that chemistry for a while," Simmons said. "As soon as we hit the court, hopefully it is the same. I am looking forward to playing with them."
The Sixers have the qualifying offer for Nerlens Noel after this season, and he will probably ask a max deal, although they already have Okafor and Embiid.
Now is the best time for trade, because he had a good season, averaging 11.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. He could be one of the best defenders in the league, but his trade value will drop if Philadelphia Sixers use him from the bench.
What is the best option for Nerlens Noel and Philadelphia Sixers?
Noel has not asked for a trade, but multiple league sources told CSNNE.com that he is “very open” to being traded if the Sixers decide to make that decision. Another league source contacted by CSNNE.com on Thursday morning indicated that the Celtics still have a high level of interest in Noel but no deal is imminent.
That was just a few days ago, and this is maybe the best option for everyone here.
Boston Celtics, after they signed Al Horford, looking for a talented power forward, because they have overrated player - Amir Johnson as the starting power forward for the next season.
Just few month ago, ESPN sources say Philadelphia is offering Nerlens Noel, No. 24 and No. 26 inthe NBA draft and Robert Covington for Boston’s No. 3 pick. The Celtics rejected that offer.
What could they offer?
The Celtics have valuable assets for Philadelphia Sixers. However, the Sixers have a young team, and offer with Jae Crowder and Marcus Smart will be very intriguing for them.
Al Horford, Nerlens Noel and Jaylen Brown. It's a very good combination for the next season, with Isaiah Thomas and starting shooting guard (Avery Bradley?).
With the Celtics, Noel would surely get significant minutes and touches down low, especially because Brad Stevens knows how to learn their players to play like a team. Al Horford is very intelligent and unselfish center, and Noel could benefit more than if he played with Okafor or Embiid.
Philadelphia will get two good defenders, Jae Crowder and Marcus Smart, and maybe they will get a roster, capable enough to play in the NBA Playoffs next season.
Brett Brown recently said that Ben Simmons could play as a true point guard, and with Saric, Crowder, Okafor and Embiid, the Sixers could have a very good starting lineup for the Eastern Conference.
After four years and 34, 19, 18 and 10 wins per seasons, the fans of Philadelphia Sixers could finally watch the NBA Playoffs.
On the other side, the Celtics will have a great frontcourt and they only need a good shooting guard to have a worthy team for the Eastern Conference.
