As the trade deadline draws closer, the rumors and reports will only grow higher. For the Cleveland Cavaliers, though, those "rumors" and "reports" are pretty much an inevitability.
The Cavs WILL make a trade. Now, it's just a matter of who they trade for... and what they have to give up to get him.
Already, several reports have named possible targets for the team, and they all pose the potential to make a real difference for the squad. According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, the Cavs are showing interest in veteran point-guard George Hill. Although he'd likely play the two-spot, he'd be a valuable addition to the offense, and would add even more on Defense.
Another name connected to the Cavaliers is offensive specialist (and sixth man-of-the-year candidate) Lou Williams. In a report by Chris Barnewall, he explains that the team has already offered up J.R. Smith and Tristan Thompson.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it sounds as if the Cavaliers have gone all-in on their DeAndre Jordan pursuits. According to Marc Stein, the team is actively trying to trade for him before the February deadline hits.
All three potential targets could be a huge get for the team, especially if they'll only have to give up minimal assets to get any of them. As the clock races forward, the pressure is on for Cleveland to fix their team, before it implodes come July.
