It's been a bit of a roller coaster season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. After coming out with an abysmal start, the team rebounded quickly, soon pulling themselves to the top of the standings before December. Now, though, things appear to be going sour again, losers of 2 straight and 7 of their last 10 games.
And in light of these renewed struggles, reports are beginning to circulate about the Cavs in all sorts of ways. One such report involves Tristan Thompson and his supposed availability in the trade market.
Via Yahoo! Sports’ Shams Charania:
“Multiple NBA teams have cited Tristan Thompson as an asset Cleveland is willing to move in the right deal, such as one for the Los Angeles Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan."
A supposed DeAndre Jordan deal would be perfect for the Cavs, as they need a defending, rebounding center. But it seems, at least at this point, that any sort of trade on that scale would require a huge sacrifice on the Cavs' part. Are they willing to make that sacrifice, or will they have to settle for what they can get for Tristan Thompson alone?
