Is it possible for a super team to become more super?
One of the greatest dunkers in the history of basketball, Vince Carter, appeared on ESPN's The Jump recently and was asked about taking a pay cut in order to join a title-contending team. Take a look:
Carter said he definitely thinks joining a team like the Warriors or Cavaliers is a viable option for him, but he won't be content with just "riding the coattails" as he put it.
VC is already 40 years of age but has yet to win an NBA title despite his 19-year (and counting) career in the Association. Carter finished up his 2016-17 campaign with the Grizzlies collecting averages of 8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists a game in just over 24 minutes of game time per contest, so he is far from washed up, and can provide offense when needed off the bench.
Vinsanity has not made it clear which team he intends to sign with this offseason heading into most likely his last year of his career. Maybe a move to Golden State wouldn't be so bad for him, especially if he wants to put that illustrious NBA championship ring in his trophy case when all is said and done.
