Top 8 Interesting Stats of NBA 2016/17 You Didn’t Notice

It has been an amazing NBA season so far and we found many interesting stats.

Who has most double-doubles this season and where you rank DeMarcus Cousins when we are talking about three-pointers?

Who has a better percent of 3pts, Seth Curry or MVP of the league, Steph Curry?

Who is the best rebounder amongst the point guard (except Westbrook and Harden) and who has more turnovers from the big men, check it below.

Here are top 8 stats you didn’t notice this season.

1. Double-Doubles Leaders

James Harden has 52 double-doubles so far. Karl-Anthony Towns is the 2nd with 50, and Russell Westbrook is the 3rd with 49 double-doubles this season.

It's interesting to see that Kawhi Leonard has only 8 double-doubles so far, Carmelo Anthony has 6, but the biggest surprise is Derrick Favors with only 6 double-doubles. At least, he is a power forward, he should have more than 6.

2. Turnovers

Ok, we already know that James Harden and Russell Westbrook are there, but who is also on the list?

LeBron James is the 3rd with 4.3 turnovers per game (highest in career), and DeMarcus Cousins is also there with 3.8 turnovers per game (no one is surprised with this, I guess).

Karl-Anthony Towns has more turnovers (2.7) than his point guard Ricky Rubio (2.5).

Dion Waiters has an amazing season with Miami Heat, but he also very careful so far with only 2.2 turnovers per game.

Carmelo Anthony is also there with only 2.1 turnovers per game, but the biggest surprise is Seth Curry with only 1.4 turnovers per 29.1 minutes per game.

If we are talking about AST/TO, we have there: Andre Iguodala (4.37), Chris Paul (3.87) and Ish Smith (3.80).

3. Rebounds

Hassan Whiteside is the best rebounder in the league with 14.2 rebounds per game. He is a center, that is a normal stuff for them. But, when we talk about centers, check those stats.

Marc Gasol has only 6.1 rebounds per game. Brook Lopez has 5.1 and Frank Kaminsky is averaging only 4.7 rebounds. Hassan Whiteside almost has more than these three guys together.

Check this: Russell Westbrook has most rebounds per game (10.5) amongst point guards. The next one is Patrick Beverly with 5.8 rebounds.

4. Three-Point Shooting Statistics

Otto Porter has the best percent in the league (453%) when we talking about a 3-pts shooting.

Who has the better percent, Seth Curry or Stephen Curry?

Seth has 43.1% (2.0 three-pointers per game) and Stephen Curry has 39.3% per game (3.9 three-pointers per game).

Amongst point guards, Chris Paul is the best with 42.4%, but amongst shooting guards - Kyle Korver is there with 44.7% per game. Nice job, LeBron James.

The fact of the day: DeMarcus Cousins has better percent (35.1%) than Damian Lillard (35.0%), Andrew Wiggins (34.7%) and Jimmy Butler (34%).

5. Free-Throw

Paul George leading the NBA with 92.3% per game, but who will surprise us in this category?

Personaly, I think that Klay Thompson is one of the best free-throw shooters in the league, but am I wrong? Of course I'm, because stats are a little bit different.

Klay has 84.9% per game, and yeah he is good... but check who is better than him: Rudy Gay (85.5%), Jeff Green (86.1%) and Marreese Speights (87.6%).

6. Blocks

I told you earlier than Kevin Durant improved his defense and that he is one of the best protectors in the league. He has 1.64 blocks per game and before you write something about him, check who is below when we talking about blocker per game.

Karl-Anthony Towns (1.39), DeMarcus Cousins (1.29), Dwight Howard (1.25), Bismack Biyombo (1.21), Andre Drummond (1.14) and LaMarcus Aldridge (1.12).

The best blocker amongst the point guards is John Wall with 0.63 blocks per game.

It's fun to see, but Ricky Rubio has only 6 blocks this season. Tony Parker has 2 blocks, and one of the best defenders Matthew Dellavedova doesn't have even a block this season. WOW.

We always connect point guards with assists, and today we will see who doesn't have assists on the point guard position.

John Wall (10.7) and Russell Westbrook (10.1) are the only point guards who have more than 10 assists per game.

See below the list of point guards who are not so good with assists this season.

Jordan Clarkson has only 2.3 assists per game. Emmanual Mudiay has 3.9 assists, Derrick Rose has 4.4 and Darren Collison has only 4.5 assists per game.

If we are talking about big men, Hassan Whiteside has only 0.6 assists per game, Jonas Valanciunas has 0.8, and Serge Ibaka has only 1.0 assist per game. Why don't they pass the ball?

8. Fouls Leaders

DeMarcus Cousins and Kristaps Porzingis are leaders with 3.8 fouls per game.

Antetokounmpo is also amongst has a very high number with 3.2 fouls per game, but see below who doesn't have many fouls per game.

Andre Iguodala has only 1.3 fouls per game, Derrick Rose has 1.4, Jamal Crawford has 1.4 Gary Harris has 1.5 and Jimmy Butler has only 1.6 fouls per game.
