The Golden State Warriors Will Be Paying Much More Than $5 Million For Nick Young's Contract


The Warriors seem to just get better and better every offseason.

First adding Kevin Durant in 2016, and now adding crucial pieces to their bench, in the form of Omri Cassipi and Nick Young.

Golden State signed Young to a one-year contract worth $5.2 million, actually getting him for less than he made with the Lakers last season, $5.4 million.

It's been revealed, however, that Golden State will be paying much more than $5.2 million for the services of Swaggy P. The Warriors are already over the salary cap, and the signing of Young's contract cuts into the luxury tax threshold, costing the Warriors $18.5 million.

You can be certain GSW won't be making any more big signings apart from re-signing their key players from last season, unless owner Joseph S. Lacob wants his pockets drained.
