It's been quite a while since Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder high and dry in search of an NBA championship -- over a year in fact -- but bad blood still remains between Durant and the Thunder's Russell Westbrook.
Prior to the matchup between the Warriors and Thunder on Wednesday, Kevin Durant was quoted as calling it "just another game," and everyone knows whenever a player calls it "just another game," it's actually a codeword for "extremely important game."
The 2017 MVP was asked about KD's quote indirectly, and Westbrook decided to respond with the same level of pettiness as we've come to expect from these two.
Not only is this game against Golden State just another game, every game of Russell's career has been just another game. Alright then.
It's obvious the drama between these two is set to continue on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City, as every meeting between the two since KD's move has resulted in some form of confrontation.
But unlike previous meetings, Westbrook will now have Paul George and Carmelo Anthony on his side to combat Durant's All-Star teammates, shaping up their matchup to be much more competitive than last season.
