"The Decision." That's what everybody called it. When LeBron James left for South Beach on that warm summer day, the entire world nearly went insane. Being known as one of the greatest to ever play can certainly have that effect.
Four seasons and two championships later, LeBron James decided to return to that same city he left, and the reaction was almost even bigger.
Imagine the chaos if LeBron chooses to leave again. This time not to go play in South Beach or to "return home," but to the heavenly city of Los Angeles. That would be absolute frenzy.
While the scenario may seem like an impossible dream, a report by The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski indicates that LeBron is likely to find a new home in Los Angeles in the summer of 2018.
That's right world. Brace yourselves. Because LeBron is not done with crazy, blockbuster moves. To sign with the Lakers or Clippers would no doubt be LeBron's last ditch effort at a ring chase. Does that mean he no longer trusts the big three he has in Cleveland?
Not our place to say. But forming a team with CP3, Griffin, and DeAndre could certainly help him bring down the Warriors. As for the Lakers, LeBron could attempt to lure in his buddies (Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul) to form a new superteam with the purple and gold.
The 2017 offseason has ended with the Warriors proving to be head and shoulders above everybody else. Could that inspire LeBron James to punch his ticket out of Cleveland? As the whole world is no doubt waiting for 2018, only he knows what's next.
