Report: Kawhi Leonard Could Be Returning Within The Next Couple Of Games

If this is true, this would be the much-needed boost the San Antonio Spurs need before heading into the postseason -- that is if they make it in the first place.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding Kawhi Leonard's return to the Spurs lineup, with reports stating Kawhi was at odds with the Spurs medical staff and didn't feel like he was 100% ready to return even though he was cleared to play after his quad injury had healed.

It seems as though whatever issue the two parties had has been sorted out by now, as Leonard is looking to return sometime next week.

The Klaw has only managed to play in 9 games this season with limited minutes, but due to the nature of his right quad injury -- which could become even worse at any time if Kawhi decides to come back earlier than he's supposed to, hence why he's being so cautious -- elected to sit out after his short stint back with the team.

With the way the West is shaping up heading into the playoffs, the Spurs run a real risk of falling out of the playoff race, only sitting a game ahead of the ninth-placed Nuggets. With a returning Kawhi on the horizon however, the Spurs could be one of the darkest horses in the Western Conference bracket.
