Losing by 50+ points in an NBA games takes some special effort from both sides of the game. The winning team, to keep it in high gear the entire 48 minutes, and the losing team, for managing to somehow not walk off the court mid-game in disgust.
In the Memphis Grizzlies' most recent blowout however, it doesn't seem the players were all that affected by their record loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
The Grizz were at the mercy of All-Star Kemba Walker, who dropped 46 points and a franchise record 10 threes on Memphis, all in 28 minutes, leading Charlotte to a 140-79 win.
According to reports, Memphis players were overheard and seen actively joking and laughing with each other in the locker room after the game.
When a team loses in any sort of sport, all players involved on the losing side are expected to care about the loss, showing no emotion other than disappointment, sadness and even anger after a defeat. Then again, each player handles losses differently, and when it's a blowout with a margin this huge, it's probably best to laugh it off and move on to the next one.
