O.J. Mayo was never a name that popped out at you right away. But the 2008 number three overall pick certainly knows how to play the game of basketball.

Since being banned from the NBA before last season, most aren't expecting to see him on the court again. If you ask O.J. Mayo, however, he might have different plans.

Travelle Gains is a pretty well-known trainer, working with stars like Jimmy Butler, James Harden, and Carmelo Anthony. If Mayo finds himself playing well when his suspension lifts in a year, it could turn out to be Gains' biggest success story.

If OJ Mayo's suspension lifts after this upcoming season, there's no guarantee he'll find himself on an NBA roster. But if he continues to work like this, there's a good chance he'll make a strong return.
