LeBron James Is Using An Odd Method To Prepare Fot I.T.'s Return

With the Cavaliers fighting for their 13th straight win tonight, it's fair to say that they've enjoyed a nice stretch of basketball lately. It doesn't mean, however, that they don't want some... reinforcements.

A few Cleveland stars are dealing with injuries so far, including Derrick Rose and Iman Shumpert. But, by far, the most anticipated return is that of Isaiah Thomas, who is just a few weeks out from seeing the court again.

And with his return date imminent, the team is already preparing for a lineup with him in it. Although the preparations may be a bit unorthodox.

According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, LeBron James uses NBA 2k to prepare for the return of Thomas. Seriously.

"It's the most realistic basketball game you could ever play. I mix and match a lot of lineup changes to see how we can be good. I've done that."

Okay, a few things to point out here.

First, is 2k actually real/accurate enough to act as a virtual reality film study? While the game is supposed to be for fun and entertainment, it's not impossible to think that it could help in the real world as well.

Secondly, how often does LeBron use this strategy? As one of the most brilliant minds in basketball, he could be on to something if he uses this technique on a frequent basis.

No matter what you conclusion on the matter, it's clear that the biggets winnder of the day is 2k Sports. It's not every day that you get a free endorsement like that...
