It's common knowledge now that LeBron James is not a fan of current US president Donald Trump, and the recent events in Florida have only proven that further.
In case you haven't heard, on Wednesday, a 19-year-old male committed one of the biggest mass shootings this year at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, killing at least 14 students and three adults. The tragedy has only brought back the issue of gun control and right to bear arms in America, and many citizens in the US are waiting for President Trump to address the nation regarding the shooting, no doubt informing the public what the strategy will be to prevent these events from happening in the future.
LeBron James, who is one of the most vocal players in the league when it comes to off-court issues, wasted no time in offering his thoughts on Donald Trump after recent events, and it's pretty blunt.
When it comes to sports, or even the entertainment industry as a whole, many fans expect players and celebrities to keep their mouths shut when it comes to politics, citing they should "stick to what they're good at." LeBron, however, doesn't pay attention to those sort of fans and hasn't been afraid to offer his opinion on the political climate in America ever since Trump was elected last year.
If anything, hopefully James' comments -- given his huge global following -- force Trump's hand into doing something about the gun epidemic in America, and if not, we can expect a lot more comments coming from LeBron's mouth.
