LeBron James Fires Shots At Grizzlies Over Twitter After Coach Fizdale Firing

For once in their franchise's history, the Memphis Grizzlies were at the top of the NBA world's headlines yesterday.

The Grizzlies, who were on an 8-game skid after starting 7-4, fired their head coach David Fizdale after reports of conflict between Fizdale and Memphis star center Marc Gasol. Coach Fiz had benched Gasol in the fourth quarter in their Sunday game against the Nets, which kickstarted the rumors.

After his sudden firing, many of the NBA's personnel were in shock over the move, including LeBron James, who Fizdale coached during James' stint in Miami as an assistant coach.

David was the Heat's assistant coach behind Erik Spolstra between 2008-2016 before moving onto the head coaching role in Memphis, where he led the team to the postseason.

LeBron, who is extremely experienced when it comes to front office moves -- LeGM anyone? -- has his suspicions about the firing, claiming there's more going on behind the scenes in Memphis, and Fizdale was the one who copped the consequences.

LeBron wasn't the only one either, as James' teammate both in Miami and Cleveland, Dwyane Wade, was also confused by the move.

At least Grizzlies' fans can take solace in the fact that other NBA stars are questioning Memphis' most recent decision.
