LaMelo Ball may only be in High School, but his name is already covering the headlines.
The Ball family has a knack for making the news. Whether its Lonzo Ball's amazing court vision or LaVar's crazy antics, the spotlight always seems to be shining on the L.A. family.
But most recently, the Ball family is not being covered for something they are doing... but, rather, something they aren't. And for LaMelo Ball, that's High School.
In an interview with the L.A. Times, Lavar revealed to the paper that he'll be pulling his son, LaMelo, out of his High School at Chino Hills, and will train him himself for the next two years.
“I’m going to make him the best basketball player ever. It’s good for Melo. Less distractions. He just needs to focus.”
LaVar claims that he doesn't like the coach and the school executives, probably for some basketball-related reason. Regardless, it's a pretty risky move for LaVar to pull his Son out of school. His plans to go to UCLA still stand, but if LaMelo doesn't prosper on the NBA level, this move could come back to haunt him.
