Kevin Durant Takes Home Finals MVP Honors As He Wins His First Ring

It's been quite a night for Kevin Durant.

KD dropped 39 points on 14-20 shooting, along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists to help the Golden State Warriors claim their second championship in three years, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 and taking the series 4-1.

Immediately after the game, Durant was embraced by his mother, his biggest supporter across his whole career in a very emotional moment.

This Finals victory avenges Durant's loss to James and the Miami Heat back in 2012, when the OKC Thunder fell in 5 games.

Congratulations to Kevin Durant and the entire Golden State Warriors for a spectacular season.
