KD'S Mom Has Her Say On The Durant-Westbrook Beef

On Wednesday, almost every NBA fan beared witness to the ongoing rivalry that was the matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors -- or more specific, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Most fans tuned in to see a riveting basketball game being played between two great teams, but you'd be lying if you said you weren't watching just in case things got heated between KD and Westbrook, and luckily enough for us, they did.

The former teammates had multiple verbal confrontations throughout the game, and even butted heads with each other when things went over the top.

After the game, Kevin Durant's mother, Wanda Durant, gave the media a comment on her thoughts about the feud between her son and his ex-teammate.

"It’s OKC. It’s the same atmosphere that they’ve always had, so we wouldn’t expect anything different. I just think it’s too hyped. It’s just basketball. Not even as a fan and being here and watching both of them, I really don’t get it. But it is what it is," said Wanda following the game.

Uh, were you watching the same game as us Wanda?

The majority of NBA fans have been begging for some sort of incident between these two -- good or bad -- ever since KD left OKC, and after over a year apart, we finally got a taste of it, and you don't understand why Chesapeake Arena was rocking that night?

Regardless whether Durant's mother thinks the beef between Westbrook and her son is worth mentioning, the rivalry between the two, and by association their two respective ball clubs, is sure to continue into the distant future, hopefully culminating in an epic playoff series between the two teams.
