It's not everyday that superstar share their personal information out to reports. But in the case of Jimmy Butler, he gave some info in his opening press conference that was anything but normal.
In the wake of his recent trade to the Minnesota Timberwolves, many critics spoke out about Butler's leadership in the Chicago locker room. One critic in particular made an appearance in ESPN, and spoke out about how the Bulls needed a better leader.
When asked about how frustrating all the criticism was, Butler stated that "It's not frustrating, it's expected. Somebody's got to take the blame. I'll be that guy, I'm okay with it. I'm fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But with that being said, my phone's in my back pocket right now. If whoever has anything to say to me, feel free. 773-899-6071. So, if you want an interview, there you have it!"
Seems like Butler is really embracing the haters this week, while beginning his new chapter in Minnesota. And yes, that is his actual number.
And while you're unlikely to start a conversation with the star, he has actually picked up a few of them.
But, for the haters: have something to say to Jimmy? Well, there's nothing stopping you now.
