With Lonzo Ball finally in Los Angeles, many fans are already hailing him as the next Lakers great. His passing ability and court vision made him one of the premier prospects in the draft, and those same talents could make him an All-Star in the NBA.
Former Laker star James Worthy is no stranger to the Lonzo hype train. In fact, he may have went overboard with his latest comments on the UCLA pheonom as released by a TMZ exclusive video:
"He enhances everybody on the court. We haven't had someone with that type of talent really since Magic."
That's right, Worthy just compared Lonzo Ball (who has yet to play a single game) to the legendary Magic Johnson. Worthy should know more than any of us about Johnson's talent, as he was his main running mate during the 1980's Showtime Lakers. Still, it seems quite a leap comparing a Rookie to one of the greatest of all time.
Let's also not forget the potential diss toward Kobe Bryant, who often got critisized for holding the ball. He probably isn't too thrilled with these comments.
On the other hand, LaVar has got to be pretty excited about his son getting such big praise by such a big legend.
