J.R. Smith Says The Celtics Are No Threat To The Cavaliers


On the eve of NBA opening night, J.R. Smith made sure to save some time for trash talk. Or maybe he was being serious?

Either way, he made quite the statement earlier today to

J.R. Smith said he doesn’t view the Celtics too differently from last year. “I don’t think they really pose a big threat to us”

Call me crazy, but the Celtics currently look like huge contenders in the East, after acquiring Gordon Hayward and former Cavalier, Kyrie Irving. Obviously tensions may be running high after the Iving trade, so its more than possible this could just be a case of trash talk. Nevertheless, the Cleveland shooting guard certainly made a bold declaration today, one that he may come to regret later. He should be glad he won't be the one guarding Kyrie...
