Could IT already be thinking about a return to the Boston Celtics before his season with the Los Angeles Lakers is even up?

There's no denying that Thomas' best years of his career so far came wearing the green and white of the Boston Celtics, so a return to Boston for Isaiah would be a welcome one for sure.

IT was one of the leading candidates for the MVP award, leading the Celtics to the first seed in the East with 28.9 points and 5.9 assists a game, his late-game heroics earning him the title of 'King of the Fourth'.

In a recent Q&A session on Twitter, something Thomas has increasingly been involved in, a fan asked Isaiah if IT would consider a move back to Boston this upcoming offseason when he hits free agency. His response didn't directly confirm a return of course, but left the door open for one.

Thomas has had a troubled 2017-18 campaign, starting out with the Cleveland Cavaliers, only managing to play in 15 games after sitting the start of the season out with a hip injury. After that handful of appearances for the Cavs, IT was traded to the Lakers on deadline day, where he'll finish the rest of the season off before becoming an unrestricted free agent.
