FanDuel NBA Daily Picks For February 24

Isaiah Thomas

With the trade deadline finished yesterday and although there were no major movies, there is certainly some small moves that will be monumental to each team’s success to finish the year. Tonight, for NBA Friday there are ten exciting games scheduled with, as always, some terrific sleepers, value players and superstars across the board for DFS players.

One of the more exciting games that I am personally looking forward to tonight is the matchup between the Boston Celtics (37-20) against the Toronto Raptors (33-24). Toronto were big movers leading up to the trade deadline, acquiring forwards Serge Ibaka and P.J Tucker. Both will add perimeter shooting that will spread the floor for players like Lowry and DeRozan, as well as tough interior defense. Tip-off for this Eastern Conference battle is at 8 PM ET.

OUT: Joel Embiid (knee), Ben Simmons (foot)

Monitor: Robert Covington (head), Lavoy Allen (knee), Thaddeus Young (wrist), Jaylen Brown (hip), Avery Bradley (Achilles), Patrick Patterson (knee), Nikola Mirotic (back), Dwyane Wade (wrist), Rodney Hood (knee), Enes Kanter (arm), Thabo Sefolosha (groin), Josh Richardson (foot), Emmanuel Mudiay (back), Chris Paul (thumb), Pau Gasol (hand), Manu Ginobili (ankle)

Each day I will be providing you guys with advice to help you score well in FanDuel to give you the best possible chance to succeed. Top 3 Sleepers

FanDuel – Select Your Lineup and Win the Game

Norman Powell (FanDuel: $4,100)

Toronto Raptors vs Boston Celtics

With Terrence Ross out of the equation prior to the All-Star break, Norman Powell picked up the extra minutes and played well. Posting two games of 17 and 13 points. With P.J Tucker not expected to make his debut, Powell should be expecting even more minutes tonight.

Sean Kilpatrick (FanDuel: $3,800)

Brooklyn Nets vs Denver Nuggets

Kilpatrick has been unpredictable this year, very unpredictable. However, at such a cheap price and with fellow guard Bojan Bogdanovic traded to the Wizards, Kilpatrick’s opportunity may be now to prove himself in this league. Worth the risk.

Bobby Portis (FanDuel: $4,200)

Chicago Bulls vs Phoenix Suns

Taj Gibson gone. Nikola Mirotic back problems. Portis could see a big jump in productivity which is very exciting to see for DFS owners. Prior to the All-Star break, Portis posted his best game of the season with 19 points 8 rebounds and 28.6 FD points. Anticipate Portis to have a big night against a horrible defensive team in the Phoenix Suns.

Top 3 Value Players

FanDuel – Select Your Lineup and Win the Game

Yogi Ferrell (FanDuel: $5,500)

Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves

Yogi is back in the picture. With Deron Williams gone, the Indiana prodigy should return to high thirty minute games. And with that, comes terrific value and production. From January 30th to February 6th Yogi averaged 32 FD points as the starter for Dallas whilst Williams was out injured. Now, with no Williams, Yogi is once again a super pick.

Michael Beasley (FanDuel: $5,400)

Milwaukee Bucks vs Utah Jazz

After Jabari Parker’s injury, Michael Beasley really stepped up for the Buck’s averaging 15 points, 4.3 rebounds and 25.5 FD points in a four-game span. Beasley should continue to be a value pick for the rest of the season If he continues to get good minutes,

Dario Saric (FanDuel: $6,200)

Philadelphia 76ers vs Washington Wizards

Joel ‘The Process’ Embiid will remain on the sidelines once again tonight, leaving Saric to a heavy workload once again. Saric was colossal prior to the All-Star break with Embiid injured, averaging 20.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and almost 35 FD points per game. With Noel packing his bags to Dallas, Saric will have to carry the 76ers alone.

Top 3 Star Players

FanDuel – Select Your Lineup and Win the Game

Isaiah Thomas (FanDuel: $9,800)

Boston Celtics vs Toronto Raptors

Hasn’t Thomas been something this year? Isaiah has catapulted the Celtics into title contenders averaging 29.3 points per game this season. Thomas’ last game against the Raptors? 44 points, 7 assists and 56.3 FD points.

Jimmy Butler (FanDuel: $9,300)

Chicago Bulls vs Phoenix Suns

It comes with a bit of surprise to say that Jimmy Butler, remains a Chicago Bull. With all the trade rumors circling around Butler’s name personally I thought he was gone. I was wrong. Don’t get this wrong by not picking Butler in your team. Jimmy will have to carry the load tonight with injuries to Dwyane Wade and Nikola Mirotic as well as Doug McDermott being traded. Expect a huge game from Butler.

Karl-Anthony Towns (FanDuel: $10,400)

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Dallas Mavericks

You can’t go wrong by picking this beast. Towns is as much as a sure thing now as fellow big Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. In his last twelve games leading up to the All-Star break, Towns averaged a ridiculous 28.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and almost 50 FD points!
