Three game NBA slate on Tuesday kicks off at 7 PM ET when the Charlotte Hornets (23-28) host the Brooklyn Net’s (9-42). Both teams are desperate for a win with the Hornets losing their past seven outings with their last victory coming against the Nets on January 21st. Brooklyn have also lost their past nine. Charlotte were looking to be a dangerous threat in the Eastern Conference in the early parts of the season but have since dropped off in large part to their gaudy defense. Charlotte have allowed opposing teams to score 100 plus points eighteen times in their past twenty-one matches.
The Orlando Magic (20-33) visit Houston to play James Harden and the Rockets (37-17). In their previous matchup on January 6th, Houston was victorious 100-93 in part to their three-point shooting. This has been a continuous trend this season with Houston leading the league in three-pointers made with 14.4. Expect Houston to win comfortably at home.
To finish off the night, the Mavericks (20-31) play host to their Western Conference foes, the Portland Trail Blazers (22-30). Portland have also struggled on the defensive end, allowing their opponents to score an average of 109.8 points a game. If they can turn around their defense after the All-Star break, with the offensive juggernauts of Lillard and McCollum they can make a charge for a playoff spot. Dallas have been impressive as of late winning their past six out of ten games, with undrafted rookie sensation Yogi Ferrel leading the charge.
OUT:Cody Zeller (quadriceps), Caris LeVert (knee)

Jeff Green (FanDuel: $3,500) Orlando Magic @ Houston Rockets
Green has been solid for the Magic lately and tonight’s small forward options are slim with Batum being the best option at the position. Green is averaging 12 points and 3.5 rebounds his past 12 matches and is a solid sleeper.
Sean Kilpatrick (FanDuel: $4,000) Brooklyn Nets @ Charlotte Hornets
With Caris LeVert missing time with a knee issue, Kilpatrick has taken advantage of some extra playing time scoring 18 points in both of his last two matches. Playing such a weak defense in the Hornets, look for Kilpatrick to assert on the offense end.
Frank Kaminsky III (FanDuel: $4,500) Charlotte Hornets vs. Brooklyn Nets
Cody Zeller has missed the past six games and since then, Kaminsky has really seized his opportunity. In the past three games, the Wisconsin seven-footer is averaging 16.3 points. With Kaminsky expected to start for the Hornets again, look for another solid outing for the big man.
Trevor Booker (FanDuel: $5,200) Brooklyn Nets @ Charlotte Hornets
Quincy Acy is questionable for tonight’s game, even if he does play it shouldn’t affect Booker’s rock solid value at the moment. In the past four games, Booker is averaging 12 points, 8.2 rebounds and almost 2 steals. With a favorable matchup, Booker has tremendous value.
Yogi Ferrel (FanDuel: $6,100) Dallas Mavericks vs. Portland Trail Blazers
The undrafted point guard went from an unknown player to a sensation overnight after Saturday’s performance against Denver where he scored 32 points hitting nine three-pointers. In four starts, Ferrel is averaging 37.5 minutes, transposing into terrific production with an average of 19.2 points, 4.5 assists and 1.75 steals in that span. Ride the man while he is hot.
Eric Gordon (FanDuel: $5,500) Houston Rockets vs. Orlando Magic
Since returning from a two-game absent, Gordon has posted great numbers off the bench for the Rockets in the last four matches. Gordon has averaged 16.2 points including almost 3 made three pointers a match during the four-game span. Gordon has been terrific in a bounce back year and a strong candidate for the Sixth Man of the Year Award.
C.J. McCollum (FanDuel: $8,200) Portland Trail Blazers @ Dallas Mavericks
With Damian Lillard under an injury cloud for tonight’s game, McCollum may be in for a monster game. When Lillard plays, C.J. averages 22.5 points. Without Lillard, a whopping ten-point differential with an average of 31.2 points. Be sure to check Lillard’s availability closer to tip-off and if he is unable to go, make sure you start McCollum.
James Harden (FanDuel: $12,700) Houston Rockets vs. Orlando Magic
Harden is the league leader according to NBA.com in the MVP race, and why not? This season Harden has been ridiculous, averaging 28.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and an amazing 11.4 assists per game. ‘The Beard’ averages an enormous 46.4 FanDuel points per contest and being the only superstar playing tonight, should be in your team.
Brook Lopez (FanDuel: $7,600) Brooklyn Nets @ Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets have given up the six most points to opposition centers this year. Tonight, they face one of best scoring centers in the league in Brook Lopez. Lopez is averaging 20.3 points this year and has had consecutive games of twenty or more points. Look for Lopez to exploit the weak defensive Hornets.
