Other than Lonzo Ball and Ben Simmons, the talk of the NBA world at the moment is where the playing future of Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe lies.
It's no secret that the Suns wouldn't be a competitive team heading into this season, but no one thought they'd be this bad, leading to the situation we have now between Bledsoe and the Suns front office.
After suffering their third straight loss to open the season -- a 42-point margin at the hand of the Clippers -- Bledsoe sent out a simple but cryptic tweet letting the world know he wasn't happy with his situation, 'I Dont wanna be here.'
Hungry for drama, everyone jumped on the tweet, obviously assuming that Eric was done with Phoenix and wanted out. According to Bledsoe though, that wasn't his intention with the tweet at all, referencing something much more mundane.
Bledsoe told Suns GM Ryan McDonough that he was at the barber's and didn't want to be there, hence the tweet. As you can see though, McDonough isn't having any of it, pretty much confirming Bledsoe will be traded.
"We just met with Eric this morning. I met with him before shootaround. Coach Triano and I met with him. You guys saw his tweet last night. I gave him a call last night and asked him about that tweet just to clarify what he meant by it. He said he was at the hair salon. It wasn't about the Suns or anything related to the Suns. He said he was at the hair salon with his girl and didn't want to be there anymore. I don't believe that to be true. We thought about it, talked about it with (Suns owner Robert Sarver) and my staff, and Coach Triano and his staff, and decided it's what's best for the organization, so he won't be with us going forward."
Bledsoe being traded just seems like a formality at this point, as the Suns announced that the point guard wouldn't be suiting up for them in their game against the Kings last night, sending him home from shootaround. Ironically, Phoenix grabbed their first win of the season while he was out.
