This has to be one of the weirdiest 'beefs' in the NBA at the moment, by far.
New York Knicks center Enes Kanter and Cleveland Cavaliers small forward have had a bit of history together already this season, kicking off when LeBron questioned why the Knicks would draft Frank Ntilikina instead of Dennis Smith Jr., and then continued when James crowned himself the 'King of New York' on Instagram. Kanter, who was involved in the trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder, stood up for his new teammates and city, endearing himself with the Knicks faithful.
Well, the drama has only continued between James and Kanter over social media after LeBron was ejected in the third quarter against the Cavs' matchup against the Miami Heat -- his first ejection of his career.
Kanter took the opportunity to take a shot at King James with a well-timed Twitter post.
Kanter praised the ref, Kane Fitzgerald, who ejected LeBron, dubbing him the 'King of Cleveland', a reference to James' 'King of New York' comments.
That's gotta hurt if you're a Cleveland or LeBron fan. Not only does James get thrown out of the game, you have a guy from New York rubbing salt into the wound.
You gotta admit though, this Tweet only makes the next matchup between the Knicks and Cavs extra juicy.
