Even though Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard is under contract in Oregon until the 2021 NBA season, Dame Dolla has expressed his interest in two particular teams if he was to ever leave Portland.

Lillard was asked a question by a fan, @mohamed_2_0_6, which elicited the response from Lillard.

That's right Laker and Jazz fans. If Damian Lillard had the choice, which he will have in 4 years time, he would toss up his playing future between Los Angeles and Utah.

You may be thinking, why Utah?

Well, it makes perfect sense, as Lillard played college ball for Weber State, located in Ogden, Utah, and has also referenced the town with his album title 'The Letter O', so I'm assuming it's like a second home for the Oakland native.

As for the Lakers, which star player in the league hasn't wanted to play in the City of Angels at least once in their career? It also helps that Lillard was born in California, although closer to the home of the Golden State Warriors rather than the Lakers and Clippers.

To make things even more interesting, in April of 2016, Lillard said he was “trying to do what Kobe did in LA” for Portland. The Black Mamba is also a longtime supporter of Lillard and his game. Very intriguing.

Whatever the case, expect this tweet to resurface in the summer of 2021 when Lillard becomes a free agent, especially if he hasn't achieved success with the Trail Blazers.
