Just because Chris Paul is part of that infamous Banana Boat crew, doesn't mean he doesn't want to take them all down.
CP is part of a really tight group of NBA stars, which includes Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James. And while the four have all been on separate teams the last few years, Dwyane Wade and Lebron James have officially been reunited after Wade agreed to a contract buyout with the Bulls.
And while Chris Paul says he's "happy" for the two, he also admitted to Ben DuBose that he "wants to beat them bad."
“I told them guys congrats on getting back together there.
“But at the end of the day, I know Melo wants to beat them bad, I want to beat them bad, and they want to beat us bad. It is what it is.”
This summer, a myriad of NBA stars found themselves on new teams, and Chris Paul was no exception. After signing a shiny new contract with the Rockets a few months ago, the star point guard will find himself at the frontlines of the West's ever-changing battle.
With the stakes this high, no one should expect Chris Paul to take it easy on anyone this season, especially those he calls his friends.
