Well, it hasn't taken long for the Golden State Warriors to decide to skip visiting the White House as part of the traditional North American sports championship celebrations, did it?
Less than 24 hours after winning the 2017 NBA Finals on Monday night, the Warriors unanimously voted to decline the White House ceremony celebrating their Finals win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to several reports including one by CNBC analyst Josh Brown.
This news comes after several New England Patriot players made it public that they would not be attending the ceremony of their own NFL Super Bowl win to meet President Trump as an act of protest back in April. Notable Patriots who missed the April ceremony were Legarrette Blount, Martellus Bennett and Danny Amendola.
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has also gone on record to call Donald Trump "ill-suited" and a "blowhard".
