Top 10 Least Entertaining Teams To Watch This Season

The NBA is by far the most entertaining league in major sports, making fans from all over the globe stay up late or wake up really early in the morning to watch the best basketball players in the world go at it day by day to try and win the O’Brien trophy.

Alley-oops, skip passes, poster dunks, three-pointers, crossovers and broken ankles, there are just a lot of highlights on every single matchup, and hundreds of reasons not to miss a single minute of game action.

Nonetheless, even among entertaining teams and sports, there have been some teams that have provided few reasons not to change the channel and watch other games, being kind of boring for the NBA status, or some franchises have been so self-destructive that fans just flat out don’t want to hear anything about them.

Today, we’re going to let you know about the top 10 less entertaining teams to watch this year.

10. Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets feature Kemba Walker, Nicolas Batum and Dwight Howard, but they still haven’t been able to even barely make a playoff push this season and have mightily struggled in both ends of the court.

Charlotte’s core is old, the team has a very small market and has constantly stricken out with their prospects, and up to this day, the lone reason why anybody would like to watch a Hornets game is to hope Michael Jordan shows up in the arena.

9. Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers have been a very strange case this season. They don’t have a clear system, they have traded Blake Griffin, lost several players due to injury, and they’re still in a playoff spot right now.

Still, we just don’t get what the team is trying to do right now. The team isn’t trying to tank, but they simply don’t stand a chance in the postseason and they know it. It’s just strange, and they should be better off losing games instead of trying to make the playoffs.

8. Detroit Pistons

On the other side of the Blake Griffin trade, we find the Detroit Pistons, a team that hasn’t been able to shake off their mediocrity despite landing a top-notch scoring power forward to play alongside Andre Drummond.

Van Gundy’s team is soulless, inconsistent and flat, and the lack of a true playmaker has really hurt their chances, and they’re very likely to miss the postseason despite making such an aggressive move to land Griffin.

7. New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have been stuck on a mediocrity spiral for almost years now, they always enter the season with high hopes after signing washed out veterans and enter a major losing skid prior to the All-Star break to just flush their season down the drain.

Also, they’ve lost Kristaps Porzingis for the year and Frank Ntilikina is looking more like a bust as games go by. They’re not a lock to get a top 10 pick in this upcoming Draft either, so there’s absolutely no reason why to watch them at all.

6. Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic is a team everybody forgets even exists, truth to be told. Following a very surprising start of the season, the Magic slipped in the standings and hasn’t been able to make a push back up despite getting most players back from injury.

Frank Vogel’s team is terrible in both ends of the hardwood, Jonathan Isaac has barely played due to injury and they don’t even have a starting point guard right now, so other than Aaron Gordon (who they tried to shop), why bother tuning in?

5. Sacramento Kings

There’s a major possibility the Sacramento Kings are simply the worst franchise in all major sports history, and no matter how few good things they can accomplish, they’re always going to find a way to make a terrible mistake.

The Kings scouting has been terrible, they took several minutes away from their young ballers to let some veterans get a huge paycheck and De’Aaron Fox has mightily disappointed through his rookie campaign. On the bright side, they’re likely getting another top 5 pick in this years’ draft.

4. Dallas Mavericks

If there was a reason to watch the Dallas Mavericks beyond the possibility of Dirk’s farewell season and Dennis Smith Jr’s rookie campaign, now that Mark Cuban has openly talked about tanking, there’s absolutely no reason why bother.

Smith hasn’t been as impressive as expected but has still shown some glimpses of his great talents. Still, other than him, this team doesn’t have enough talent to even try and upset contending teams, featuring one of the most boring players ever in Harrison Barnes.

3. Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies made a couple of terrible decisions this season: keeping Marc Gasol instead of trading him to a contender, and not dealing Tyreke Evans when they had the chance to get some value in return.

Also, they don’t have any kind of talent on their ranks right now, with late 1st round and 2nd round picks on their squad that hasn’t shown much upside and Chandler Parsons that has been arguably the worst signing in franchise history.

2. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks don’t have enough talent to become a top-tier team even if they get a top 3 pick this upcoming draft, as John Collins has shown some upside but has struggled a lot with foul trouble and Dennis Schroder has been a major letdown throughout the season.

Schroder has failed to improve as a scorer and hasn’t been able to make any of his teammates better either. Also, being one of the worst teams in the Association and an almost sure win for their rivals, we can just assume they’re going to lose and change the channel.

1. Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn is in a very tough spot this season, as they’re not even going to keep their pick despite most likely landing it in the top 5, as they owe it to the Cleveland Cavaliers, so they should have no interest in tanking whatsoever but are still losing a lot of games.

The Nets have suffered a lot of injuries this season and despite trying to stay competitive, they’re just not talented enough to try and face top-tier competition, and the fact that this losing season isn’t even going to get them a top-notch prospect in the offseason, there’s absolutely no reason why anybody would like to watch them.
