Philadelphia basketball wasn't always as mediocre as it has been recently. Back in the days of A.I., Dr. J, and Wilt Chamberlain, the Sixers were the epitome of pro basketball culture.
These past couple of seasons, though, we've seen the once proud franchise ruin their reputation in a series of reckless and horrifying seasons. They were the worst team in the league for a while there. But if not for that rough patch, it may never have given them the young stars they've got now in Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Markelle Fultz.
With those guys at the helm (and teammate like J.J. Redick backing them up), they have already started what should be a brand new era of winning basketball. In fact, since 2000-2001, this is their first 50 win season.
No doubt, the Sixers are back. They've clinched a top-four seed, are still improving, and have themselves set to be elite for a long time. The Process has worked... the process is finished...
