The beard is something that is more synonymous with baseball and hockey when it comes to sports, as players will regularly stop shaving when the playoffs roll around, citing it gives the team good luck. The tradition was started in the 1980s by the New York Islanders of the NHL and has stuck around as a superstition ever since.
When it comes to basketball however, there is no beard more famous than James Harden's.
Harden came into the league with a bit of facial hair, but it was clean and well-maintained.
