Former Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom has one of the saddest post-NBA stories in history, as his battle with drugs ever since leaving the NBA in 2012, as well as breakup with Khloe Kardashian has been widely publicised.
Thankfully for the two-time NBA champion however, things look to be getting back on track for Odom -- including a rumored return to basketball via the Big 3 League -- and he has marijuana to thank for it.
Combatting a drug addiction by using another drug? It seems so outlandish, but hey, anything is worth a shot when trying to distance yourself from more harmful drugs such as cocaine.
“While going through rehab, I discovered certain strains that support wellness,” he said. “Friends, associates, and ex-teammates asked me what solutions I was using on my road back to recovery, and that’s when Rich Soil Organics was born.”
When Lamar mentions Rich Soil Organics, he's actually talking about his new business venture. Odom was so surprised by the positive effects marijuana was having on him, he's decided to try and help other people using the same methods he used.
“It’s a perfect time to offer these cannabis solutions to the public who may be going through similar body issues as I am,” he added.
Odom's path to recovery has been a long one, with several low points, but it seems as though the 2011 Sixth Man of the Year finally has found his calling.
