Dwyane Wade was born on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, 34 years ago. But, he never played for his club - Chicago Bulls.
Today, he is a step closer to signing the last contract (I guess) in the NBA. He has offers from Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets, but I think that he will select Chicago Bulls or Cleveland Cavaliers if he decides to leave the Miami Heat.
However, the Cavaliers don’t have the money to offer him a big contract.
Cleveland Cavaliers should trade Iman Shumpert and Channing Frye if they want to have a space to offer 2-years contract to Dwyane Wade. If LeBron James decides to take a small pay cut, maybe D-Wade could sign with the Cavaliers with Iman Shumpert on their roster.
But, we don't know about Cleveland Cavaliers' decision yet, and Chicago Bulls want to have Wade on their roster.
They could have three great players in the starting lineup: Rajon Rondo (PG), Dwyane Wade (SG) and Jimmy Butler (SF). Only Golden State Warriors could have a better backcourt plus SF position. Rondo, Butler and Wade are great defenders and unselfish players. Their communication could be crucial on the court, and finally, we could see Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals after six years.
The Vertical reported Wednesday that the Bulls postponed a meeting with Wade because of flight delay issues but remain "significantly involved" in the conversations with Wade despite the lack of a meeting.
Chicago Bulls will try to offer him 3-years contract and they will try to beat the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets.
Miami is willing to offer a two-year, $40 million deal, but Wade is reportedly seeking either a salary starting at around $25 million or a three-year commitment. He is tired of taking pay cuts to help the Heat.
Also, the Bulls now want to trade Mike Dunleavy and Jose Calderon, but that could be a problem because who wants to take a risk with them?
Wade averaged 19 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game last season, then Toronto defeated Miami Heat after seven games in the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs.
Dwyane Wade may not be the athlete he once was, but he remains one of the best shooting guards in the NBA. He is, the best shooting guard in the NBA History after Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
But, to be honest... with him, Chicago Bulls could win 2 games against LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Playoffs and that is their maximum.
Of course, it would be great to watch Dwyane Wade in Chicago. I will buy his jersey because it would be amazing to have Chicago Bulls' jersey with D-Wade number 3.
After Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade is the next one. Is this Decision 2.0 or just the war against Dwyane Wade and Miami Heat? We'll see in the next few days.
