5 NBA Trade Rumors That Will Never Go Away

5 NBA Trade Rumors That Will Never Go Away

Media feeds off rumors and more often than not they tend to overreact every single clue they got and even make up stories to try and fool people into entering their sites or make their social media pages grow.

Night in and night out, dozens of NBA rumors come and go, sometimes trying to make a lobby for a cause, sometimes trying to shake off attention for other issues, and sometimes because well.. It’s quite possible.

Ever since this past offseason, there have been several rumors that have never been shut down, and we even got some reason to believe that they have been very close to becoming truth.

Today, we’re going to let you know about the top 5 NBA rumors that have been along for a while now and that aren’t going away for at least several more months.

5. Marc Gasol will be traded by the Memphis Grizzlies

This one makes a lot of sense and the fact that the Memphis Grizzlies decided to retain him this season still makes no sense at all for us, especially considering he’s been quite vocal and loud regarding the team’s current status and doesn’t seem very happy with it.

Gasol is already 33 years old and his value was at an all-time high this year, and with him set to become a free agent pretty soon, the Grizzlies just need to explore deals surrounding him, so this rumor isn’t going away for a very, very long time.

4. DeMarcus Cousins to the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been struggling for a very long time to land a top-notch big man and DeMarcus Cousins is still yet to make his playoffs debut and would love to finally play for a Championship contending squad, so this move would make a lot of sense.

LeBron has always praised Boogie a lot and the team reportedly tried to land him before he was eventually dealt away to the New Orleans Pelicans. Also, with teams being pretty cautious about him and his health following his season-ending injury, the Cavs might be the ones to risk it all and try to ink him for the long run.

3. Paul George will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers

Paul George has never backed down or hesitated to let everybody know he’s keen to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, and the California native grew up dreaming of being dressed in purple and gold and carry Kobe Bryant’s torch forever.

Also, Magic Johnson simply doesn’t care about tampering fines or scandals, and he’s publicly going to endorse and praise PG as well. The Lakers are desperate to go back to Championship contention and they’re definitely going to pursue top-tier talent like George, so expect a lot of offseason drama surrounding him.

2. Anthony Davis to the Boston Celtics

Anthony Davis is one of the best two-way big men in the league but his talents have been completely wasted with the New Orleans Pelicans, and he’d definitely be better off elsewhere on an actual contending team.

Also, with DeMarcus Cousins’ health up in the air and still facing a lot of time in the sidelines, and with Boston having a lot of young assets to actually pursue a deal for the Unibrow, this rumor isn’t going to disappear for the time being.

Everybody wants a piece of LeBron James and several teams actually have the cap space to pursue him, so every time he likes a picture on Instagram, he’s out of town to get something to eat, or even makes a gesture following a play, people are going to speculate about what he actually meant.

Also, LeBron really loves this kind of attention and is proven to be quite a passive-aggressive kind of person, so we would actually expect him to feed off this rumors, and his relationship with the Cavs’ front office is already as bad as we all know anyway.
