The team mascot is as big a part of a franchise's identity as the uniform or the logo, as the mascot provides fans with endless amounts of entertainment during timeouts and halftime, and you're not going to meet one single person who hates mascots, apart from Robin Lopez of course.
When it comes to the mascot business in the NBA, some teams are way ahead of the curve compared to others. All you have to do is look at the monstrosities that are the New Orleans Pelicans' and Los Angeles Clippers' mascots to find that out.
What the hell is that?
Regardless, we're not here to shine a spotlight on the worst NBA mascots -- even though there are a few of them -- we're here to praise the best ones in the association, and surprise surprise, none of them look like they come straight out of a horror movie.
