The 2017/17 campaign has brought a lot to the table.
The Warriors are continuing their dominance, the Cavs are continuing to improve, and the Lakers are quickly losing track of what started out as a hopeful season.
Then, of course, there's the MVP race, a yearly battle by the best player sin the game. This year, names like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving have been thrown around... and for good reason, as each is leading their teams to fantastic seasons.
But perhaps there's another name we should be talking about in terms of MVP. How about DeMar DeRozan?
At first, it may seem like a reach. Looking at his stat line, coupled with the Raptors superior record, however, reveals that he may be deserving of some more recognition after-all. Because, when comparing the stats between DeRozan and Kyrie Irving, they have almost identical stat-lines.
Obviously, Kyrie Irving has always been the better player, and his Celtics are having the better season (albeit not by much). Yet, when talking about who's having the better season, it's hard not to make a case for the Toronto shooting guard.
So why is nobody talking about it?
