Dwight Howard (AKA Superman) has not been the most popular NBA basketball player in recent years. In fact, since being traded out of Orlando, he’s become one of the most hated, with many questioning his work ethic and attitude toward the game.

Much to the delight of many of those haters, one former teammate of Dwight just gave them some more fuel to add to the fire. After the Hawks’ 117-129 loss to Charlotte on Thursday night, Atlanta guard Dennis Schroder claimed that Dwight Howard only plays hard against his former teams… which is only a few games a season.

“He plays always great against his former team. Credit to him too, but that’s like four games each year, you know? Houston, L.A., us.

“I think he’s always giving his best there, but the others games he [shrugs].”

In the game Schroder is referring to, Dwight tallied a monster 33 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks on 87% shooting.

So, it seems Schroder is at least right in saying that Howard plays great against his former teams. Still, it sounds as if “Superman” did not leave the Hawks on very good terms, which is a strange recurring theme to have for one of the top big men in the league.
