LeBron James has by far become the greatest player of his era, and arguably a top 5 player in the history of the game, or at least a name that should be named when discussing the greatest players we’ve seen.

The King, however, has struggled to win on his own, at least when it matters the most, something quite natural considering nobody can win without a capable support cast around him in this kind of league.

Back in Miami, he had Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, while Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love helped him carry the load during his Championship run with the Cleveland Cavaliers a couple of seasons ago.

And now that his future’s once again on the line and we don’t really know where he might end up playing beyond this season, it would be pretty cool to wonder and try and figure out which players would fit the most next to him. That’s why today we’re going to let you know about the top 5 superstars that could dominate next to him.

5. Joel Embiid

Joel Embiid has already proven why the Philadelphia 76ers were so patient and had such high hopes on him, earning his first All-Star nod and even becoming a starter after proving to be one of the most exciting talents in the league right now.

Embiid is still quite young and is extremely dominant on both ends of the floor, is already a Defensive Player of the Year candidate and his offensive skill set is just off the roof, and he’d thrive with a lot of wide-open looks with defenses doubling James on the post and on his constant drives to the lane.

Davis has quickly become the best big man in the league and is still 25 years old, but he’s still to prove that he’s got what it takes to single-handedly lead the New Orleans Pelicans the distance in the postseason, so getting out of that team should be his first priority right now.

The Brow has a lot of range and could thrive in pick and pop with the King attacking, and is also an outstanding pick and roll man, and that kind of 1-2 punch down low would be just unstoppable for opposing defenses, as James is as strong as a center as well.

3. Damian Lillard

When asked about whether if he thought Damian Lillard was underappreciated, LeBron didn’t hesitate to praise the young point guard and said: “give me Dame, I’ll show you how appreciated he can be”.

Lillard is the clutchest player in the league and is a Kyrie Irving kind of point guard with a scoring mentality, so he could be deadly playing off the ball with James handling the playmaking duties, being a catch and shoot master with his extremely quick release.

2. Paul George

Paul George has proved this season that he has absolutely no problem whatsoever with giving up touches and share the wealth with other superstars if that means the team is going to be on a better position to win and reach the NBA Finals.

George is a much better shooter than James and is a terrific defender as well, so with that couple of athletic, strong stoppers on the wings, this team could become a dynasty, and that’s exactly why the Los Angeles Lakers are keen to sign them both this offseason. Also, both players are great at making in-game adjustments.

1. Chris Paul

Chris Paul and LeBron James are arguably the two players with the highest basketball IQ in the world, and CP3 is by far one of the most intelligent point guards to ever set foot on an NBA hardwood.

Paul has already proven that he can play alongside another ball dominating player such as James, is one of the best backcourt defenders in the league and is determined to win a Championship, so if he fails to do so with Harden, he could join forces with his longtime friend, the King.
