If there’s been one bright spot for the Orlando Magic this season, it has been the play of their young star, Aaron Gordon.

Although he failed to make the cut for this seasons All-Star team, he has undoubtedly been one of the best young players all year long, averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds on 44% shooting. But, unfortunately for the Magic, they’ll have to open their wallets if they want to keep Gordon past June.

And, according to Sean Deveney of sportingnews.com, there are already a few teams looking to snag him away.

League sources told Sporting News this week that the Suns are expected to be suitors for Gordon, who starred at Arizona for one memorable season. Phoenix has ample cap room and a roster in need of more proven players. Another team with interest in Gordon, according to sources, would be the rebuilding Mavericks, who have been eager to find a budding star to fill in alongside Harrison Barnes and Dennis Smith Jr., softening the blow of Dirk Nowitzki’s retirement, which could come in just months.

The Pacers intend to investigate restricted free agents, too, hoping to add young talent to an improving roster. Still, if any team makes a formal offer, the Magic can match it.

Between the Suns, Mavs, Magic, and Pacers, there’s no telling where A.G. will be next season. He’ll no doubt follow the money here, so it seems likely he may just stay in Orlando… considering they’ve got virtually nobody else.

Regardless, Gordon is just one of many Free-Agent players available on the market this summer. For Gordon though, while he is a restricted F.A., what happens over the course of those off-season months may just be the biggest moment of his career.
