The Greek Freak is already one of the leagues most elite players, elevating the Bucks from lottery status to playoff locks.
But just how good is he? Many beleive he can become an All-Star for many years to come, but others aren’t quite sold on what he can do. As usual, though, stats always seem to tell more of the story. And in this case, they may be hinting the Giannis will be something special for a long time.
If Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to produce at the rate he is now, he would be just 1 of 7 players to end a season with 25 ppg 10 rpg 4 apg and 50 FG%. The other 6 are Wilt Chamberlain, David Robinson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson and Charles Barkley. That’s some pretty elite company.
There is still plenty of time left in the season, so there’s no guaruntee he’ll reach these numbers. But the fact that he’s doing this well so early in his career cannot be overlooked. Does Giannis deserve more MVP consideration?
