James Harden’s flopping antics have become a mainstay in regular NBA discussions, as many fans oppose the way The Beard embellishes calls to gain a whistle or two during games.

Harden has had a long history of flopping, especially on drives, dating all the way back to his OKC days, but this year — a year where Harden is leading MVP talks — he’s taken things to a whole new level.

So far this season, Harden has scored 319 points from the foul stripe this season, which is a whopping 40% more than the second player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has scored 226 points from the free throw line. What’s worse is that since the start of the 2012-13 NBA season, James has taken 1165 more free throws than any other player in the league over that six-year span.

To take that many free throws, Harden has to be selling contact more than any other player in the NBA, and some of his attempts to get foul calls over the past few years are painfully funny to watch, via @bayani13 on Twitter.

It’s a wonder Harden has gotten away with this sort of stuff for as long as he has.
