Floyd Mayweather is undoubtedly one of the greatest boxers of all time, boasting an undefeated 50-0 record in the squared circle across 20 years.
Floyd has fought the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, and even UFC superstar Conor McGregor, but after defeating McGregor in one of the most anticipated bouts in recent memory, Money Mayweather has turned his attention to the one and only Black Mamba.
After the spectacle that was Kobe Bryantg’s jersey retirement during the game between the Lakers and Warriors on December 18th, Kobe posted an animation of his ‘Dear Basketball’ speech that was played during the ceremony to Instagram. In the comments section, Mayweather issued his challenge to Kobe: 1-on-1 for $1,000,000.

“@kobebryant I’m ready to play you one on one for $1,000,000.”
Those are pretty high stakes for the average man or woman, but not for these two. Kobe has earned a whopping $680 million over the course of his career, but is nothing compared to Mayweather’s $1 billion in career earnings.
Say I have $1000 in my bank account. To put Floyd’s wager into perspective, that would be like me asking you to play 1-on-1 for $1. One measly dollar. So obviously, money isn’t the main motivator for Floyd to issue this challenge. He just wants the spectacle.
Kobe won’t accept the challenge, we all know that. But if he did, there’s no doubt he’d destroy Floyd in every way imaginable.
