Every once in a while, there’s a game or two that gives the NBA world quite the shock.
It looks like tonight is one of those nights.
For the Cleveland Cavaliers, their latest loss went against every prediction in the book.
They lost 112-107 to the Brooklyn Nets, with LeBron James scoring a triple double, and D’Angelo Russell being absent from the game completely.
No, you didn’t read that wrong. The Cavs lost to the Brooklyn Nets.
While it is still early in the season (and thus, should be taken with a grain of salt), the loss is still pretty concerning to a team with so much championship aspirations.
To make matters worse, Cleveland seems to be dealing with internal problems as well. The fight for the starting guard positions is still going strong, questions about the team’s future continue to loom, and they continue to face doubts about thier chances against Golden State.
Make no mistake, this one game should not be blown out of proportion. But with a concerning loss to the Magic a few nights earlier, and the team being just 3-2 to start the season, the stress level for Cavs fans has got to be rising.
The Cavaliers Play the Pelicans on Saturday, where that’ll look to bounce back from this slow start.
