It’s been almost three months since Gordaon Hayward’s devastating leg injury.

At the time, most were pretty positive that the incident would sideline him for at least the rest of the season. It was an intensely gruesome affair. But now, barely half-way into the season, it’s looking like Hayward is making some real progress.

Here’s what was posted on Twitter by Celtics GM Danny Ainge:

The first thing to note is Hayward’s noticeable missing leg-brace, a good sign for Celtics fans. Secondly, the Boston star is amazingly swimming in water races with an olympic swimmer.

Also, let’s not leave out Hayward’s response to the tweet, indicating his recovery is well on its way to over:

Of course, none of us really know the exact date of his return, and there’s no promise it’ll be this season. But if these cryptic tweets have told us anything, it’s that, at the very least, we surely haven’t seen the last of Gordon Hayward.
