Much controversey was thrown the Knicks’ way when they passed on Dennis Smith Jr in the 2017 NBA Draft.
In his place, the Knicks elected to go with Frank Ntilinka, one of Phil Jackson’s last decision as President of basketball operations. Most have already made a ruling on that choice, LeBron included.
Recently, LeBron was caught hailing the rookie guard, calling him “a diamond in the ruff.”
“The Knicks passed on a really good one, and Dallas got the diamond in the rough,” James said after his Cleveland Cavaliers’ win Saturday night over the Mavericks. “He should be a Knick. That’s going to make some headlines, but he should be a Knick. Dallas is definitely, I know they’re excited that he didn’t go there.”
He’s right, it did make headlines. And in response, some New York players came to the defense of their young, potential-rich point guard.
We love what we got…

Enes Kanter was traded to New York in the summer and has played a big role for the Knicks this season. Having a knack for being outspoken in the media, he made it clear that he stands completely by Ntilinka, and wouldn’t take him back for anyone in the world.
KP on LeBron: 'I don't know why he said that…I wouldn't trade Frank for anybody '

Seems like Frank is on everyone’s good side. Admittedly, he hasn’t been very awe-inspiring this year. But if his teammates’ confidence in him is any indication of how good he is, we should all be on notice.
