Kevin Durant broke many hearts and cut off a lot of friendships when he decided to leave Oklahoma City and join the Golden State Warriors in the summer of 2016.
No one took it more personally than one of Durant’s closest teammates, Russell Westbrook.

Things were very tense between the pair this past season, having a few verbal confrontations during matchups, but putting aside their difference for the All-Star game in New Orleans. And now, according to Paul George, the two men have stayed that way.

PG appeared on Adrian Wojnarowski’s podcast, and Westbrook and Durant’s relationship was touched on.
“Whatever went between him and Russ that’s their business,” George said during the interview. “It’s not my point to want to know or want to figure out what happened. It’s pointless. They are buddies, they are back good again. I’m here to build something different and something special.”
Despite how much he said it’s not his business, Russell has definitely explained his feelings towards Durant, and they seem to be on pretty good terms again.
Sure, we might not be getting the heated confrontations between OKC and GSW like this past season next year, but it’s good to see the duo are ‘buddies’ again.
