Ever since LeBron James took his talents to Miami back in 2010 to form a big 3 with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, players have tried to recruit each other every off-season to form equally deadly duos or trios to try and compete for championships.

Rockets guard James Harden is the latest player to try this tactic, reportedly speaking to Carmelo Anthony about joining him in Houston during a Fashion Week in Paris.

This recruitment pitch actually started before the Rockets had acquired Melo’s friend Chris Paul from the Clippers. The Beard already knew CP3 to Houston was a done deal, and decided to sell Anthony on the fact Paul would be in a Rockets’ uniform next season.

And would you have guessed it? Anthony came out soon after the Paul trade was made official, stating he’d be willing to waive his no trade clause if it sent him to Houston or Cleveland.

With the Knicks and Rockets exploring every avenue to somehow send Melo to Texas, Harden must be very good with his words during runway shows.
